Hobby Lobby Train Sets on Sale

FYI Hobby Lobby has train sets on sale for 50% off this week. K-line and Lionel conventional operation train sets are typical but the selection varies from store to store. However, the initial prices seem a little high so the final value might be more like 40% off retail.

Are accessories on sale too?

Thanks for the information. I’ll go by there in the next day or two.

[:(!][:(][banghead][banghead][censored][censored][censored] I don’t have a hobby lobby near me thats what I get for living on green acres ( hooterville) lol

So what’s “lol” stand for?

I’ve guessed:
1.laughing out loud
2.lots of luv
3.lousy ol luck
4.any of the above
5.none of the above

And is there a glossary where such acroyms can be found?

LOL is usually laugh out load. Google the acronyn and you’ll find several lists.
The train sets are a pretty good deal -

Just the sets are on sale this week. However I keep an eye on their flyer every week on their website (hobbylobby.com). Sooner or later the accessories will go on sale.

FYI, the accessories around our way are all HO and N - nothing in O but scenic express stuff which is decidedly not on sale.

I bought the “Midwest Flyer” set for $ 120.00 at my local Hobby Lobby (was $ 240.00). That’s a fair price for a 3 car diesel set with “rare” cars (or cars that will be rare). The engine is a good runner for a single motor Alco. The green is closer to Pullman Green than C&NW green and the caboose has a black roof, not a green one. But those are things I can live with. I may buy another caboose and swap out roofs - paint the new roof the correct shade of green.

Dang, I would love that set and have been unable to find it. Congrats.
