I normaly spend $51-$100
I like to split my purchases up tp require more visits.
The social aspect of a great LHS brightens my existence.

less than 15! About $12 average because I can’t really afford anything more.
I usually go to the hobby shop every week or two. Although an occasional visit will result in a $100+ expenditure, most of them average $40-$50.
I go mabey once a week. I don’t spend any more than $20. Usually, way less than that.
As much as the wife will let me… [:D]
Actually I make a list from day to day. When it looks like it would be $100-$150 I go on-line and buy. I do find that the list grows faster than the speed at which the money can be saved.
I can’t say that I spend $100 in a year at the hobby store these days. I have so much stuff at home, the only things I ever need are things like glue, Xacto blades, a little metal, some wood or plastic. Trains, if any, are bought on eBay. I think I have gone to the hobby store more in the last 6 months, than I have in the last 6 years.[swg]
Most the time I spend less than $20 when I hit the local shops unless I am buying rolling stock or a locomotive which is rare these days.
But it seems I always spend more than I intended. I go in for a pack of Kadee couplers and come out with $15 worth of other goodies.
If you count purchases from online retailers, I’m usually in the $51-100 range. If you count ebay purchases, that would fall somewhat.
I ain’t saying’ as my wife, aka, SWMBT might read this!
Too much/not enough is all I’ll admit to.
Like BNSFNUT I usually spend about 20 dollars, unless I’m buying a fright car, or I’ve got an order in from Walthers or something.
Since I am starting a layout soon and only go to the LHS about once a month, I spend about $40. I spend an average of $70 a year on Micro-Mark tools that I need, and on the rare occasions that I go to train shows, I spend $20 or less. The one thing I hate is when you buy a couple of items that are less than ten bucks each, and when you buy them the receit says: $55.98. I have already spent $120+ on train-related things this year, and I don’t even have a layout or a full car roster yet!
As little as possible. Only LHS is full price, way too much. 99.9% of my purchases are on line.
