I am using foam inclines from woodland scenices how is the best way to hold them in place while I lay out the track to make sure everything lines up before I put everything down permenatly
I just did my foam/plaster recently. What I did for the risers and inclines was to put it where I wanted it and put thumb tacks in the board between the gaps in the foam. It didn’t hold great…but good enough to check my track lineup. Then took a marker and drew on both sides of the foam so I could get it back in place with the hot glue.
On my first layout I used the same risers, and I used different sized finishing nails to hold it while I aligned the track. Once I had the track lined up I went back and glued the risers in place and left the nails for extra hold.
I use long pins, buy’em at Walmart back in the drygoods section. I use the ones with the little yellow ball heads. They work fine for this purpose.
