This past weekend (while the forum was down [V]), I was going to make an updated video of my layout and various trains and eras for friends and family, but as my luck would have it, my camera decided to kick the bucket on me. So, not one to be undone, I took one of my minicam security cameras down off the house, rigged it into my recorder and a portable TV, hit record and away I went… The quality of the recording wasn’t as sharp as I would have liked, but by google it got the job done!.
Just thought I’d share for those of you looking for a laugh.
Glad to see you kept busy, Tracklayer. My weekend was hectic, so my withdrawal was minimal. Can you claim for that camera? It is still under warranty, isn’t it?
I sat around all weekend, looking around the internat halfheartedly. I tried to work on my MRR, but couldn’t find the ruler.
Good to hear you’re keeping busy during these difficult times
Matthew
P.S.When you’re done with your minicam, could I have it? LOL
“Hey selector”. Thanks for your concern, but that poor old camera was ready for the junk yard. It was a gift years ago that had earned it’s worth in use many times over. I just wish it would have worked long enough for me to have filmed my layout… Oh well. I got it done. There’s more than one way to skin a skunk!.
Ha, ha, ha… You’re joking of course - aren’t you ?.. Please don’t take my minicam, it’s all I’ve got now ([V]). How’s about I send you my dead camcorder. Back in the day, it cost around $850.00, but today you can get that same camera for about $200.00 or less with even more features. As for the minicams. I think I paid like $80.00 for a set of two of them through a special offer a couple of years ago.
