I have a 2321 Lackawanna FM I have been working on after removing enough grease to lube five more I got to working on the Horn. I can get the horn to work fine when engine is sitting in neutral ( KW Transformer) when engine is running in forward or reverse relay does not close no horn. Anyone have this problem and a fix
Thanks

Tried the longer train tdea did not make any difference. Got to checking some more and found the horn relay was the problem, took it apart and cleaned horn works now.

That would have been a go to for me- I’d sweat the solder joints, and clean the contacts just for the heck of it in case that helped out. Glad the horn worked out! I have a 2321 as well, it also suffers from an issue with the horn, but in my case it came to me with severe leaky battery damage. The relay was obliterated, and the thumbscrew for the battery cover had been sheared off. I’ve never gotten around to buying a new relay and fixing things up, and keep debating just replacing the whole frame. It really isn’t the best looking Trainmaster frame out there. Remember kids, always remove that battery after you’re done playing! [swg]
