Hornby Football Special Train Set.

Hi
I have just bought a boxed train set from a car boot sale, it is called Hornby Football Special, it is oo gauge. The locomotive has Liverpool on the side. Could anybody give me any information about this set as I can’t find any at all anywhere.

You may already know that British OO is 1/76 scale running on 16.5-millimeter (HO) track, and not the same as Lionel OO.

Hi
Please accept my apologoes, as I am a senior Citizen and did not notice that this forum was mostly for American Trains and people. Not for a silly old fool from Liverpool England.
Thanks and regards
Jim K

Jim, I hope you did not take my comment to be dismissive. I assumed you were an American and, lacking any other knowledge of your train, was trying at least to explain the British OO scale and gauge, which are unfamiliar here.

Your use of the word “boot” should have been a clue to me that you were English. This forum is mostly about American toy trains. But the several participants in other countries are very welcome here, as are Liverpudlians, both young and old.

Another senior citizen and fellow old fool,

Jim:
I can’t help, but there’s a nice bunch of British fans at the Railway Modelling web site.

Tell them David sent you, and don’t get lost in the Wheeltappers and Shunters pub.
