Good luck on trying to find a date that their online reservation system. There doesn’t seem to be any availability for this package.
Okay, I meant to say “Good luck on trying to find a date using their online reservation system.” Sorry, must be an age thing on my part.
I’ve noticed that too. And it’s been that way for a long time. I wonder if this is another one of those situations where someone puts up a web site, and then forgets about it and never does update the site.

I had investigated the Hotel Roanoke for the possibility of staying there when we made our trip east in April. If I remember correctly, their “Train Lovers Package” expired in March (I remember the impression I’d gotten of having just missed it). The place was too expensive, anyway…
MY GOD SON AND I SPENT 2 NIGHTS AT AT THE ROANOKE HOTEL. IT IS A FIRST CLASS OPERATION.
EVERYONE THERE WAS HELPFUL. ITS A LITTLE ON THE $$$ SIDE BUT WORTH IT. MY GOD SON DIDN’T WANT TO LEAVE. NICE BAR-RESTURANT, DINING ROOM, AND HIGH END RESTURANT.
POOL, EXERCISE ROOM, . PLENTY OF PHOTO LOCATIONS, WITH A LOT OF ACTION. THE HOTEL WAS BEAUTIFUL INSIDE, ALOT OF CARVED WOOD PANELING/TIRM, OVERSTUFFED CHAIRS. I WILL GO BACK AGAIN.
If they don’t still have the Train Lover’s Package per se, can’t you still call up and ask for a room on the track side of the building? You should still be able to tour the OWL museum during it’s regular hours too, I would think.

I called hotel reservation desk and got a room overlooking the view on the cam but had trees in the way for good pictures. a room on the southeast corner of building on top floor looks like it would have a clear but narrow view for pictures.
