With Ulrich’s departure as moderator, there are some big shoes to fill. I don’t know if MRR will be looking for a replacement, however if they are, I respectfully ask and suggest that Richhotrain volunteer for the job.
I have been to Chicago several times and have many close friends there. Chicagoan’s are good people and for that reason Rich should be a moderator.[tup]
I have had several really pleasing PM conversations with Rich and I am sure he has the right stamina, thick skin and (strange) sense of humor to do that job!
As a “born & raised” Chicagoan (now living in the Great State of Texas), and an Email friend of Richhotrain’s for the last several years, I can attest that Richard has all of the qualities needed for a really good moderator.
He is accomplished in the hobby, has an excellent way with words, and certainly can see both sides of situations. I recommend him highly!
Now if only I can convince him to do some weathering…
Rich is a good guy, but I dunno if he’s interested in moderating the forums here. He’s like me, and tends to get in trouble sometimes. We both were warned a couple of times. But what we did wasn’t horrible, it was like, hey leave this guy alone, and don’t read his threads. Type of thing.
Well I just checked the weather in Chicago and I’m guessing he ain’t on the Golf course.
As far as getting in to trouble, well we all do that from time to time don’t we?[:-^] It just means he is a spirited kind of fellow and that’s why I think he would be good at the job. Now if he would only stop ignoring us.[(-D]
Yes, we all make errors in judgement from time to time, moderators being no exception. The important thing, once any of us knows he/she has erred, is to attempt to correct the error, moderators being no exception.
