Whats wrong with your cars? We run this engine at the modules and pull about 15 passenger cars. I dont know how much it can really pull, but it has no trouble with the 15 cars.
TW have some good sale items, some are at sale prices for ages and some sell out very fast, you may find they only have obscure roadnames left. Best bet is to give them a quick E mail with your wish list, they get back within 24hrs
A lot of the “blowout” items are discontinued by the manufacturer. When they’re gone, they’re gone and you won’t find any more at TW. FYI, I have found basically the same deal on GP-9’s at M.B. Klein http://www.modeltrainstuff.com but with a better (or at least different) selection of road names. TW didn’t have any Milwaukee’s, but I found 2 with different numbers at M.B. Klein.
I’ve ordered from both Trainworld and M.B. Klein and I’ve been very happy with both.
yep, that’s what i plan to do- it wouldn’t be the end of the world if they don’t have them when i get one but $30 is pretty cheap
Wow that is amazing. There must be something seriously wrong with your locos, cars, or track. I have at least 30 of these particular units and all of them, individually, do much better than that.

the erie is too ugly for me. (even thoguht it’s similar to an ALCO)
