How much is a Lionel Black River Freight worth?

Well, once again, i’m looking to sell my Black River Freight set from Lionel. O27 For all you curious folk. Any idea on how much its worth?

Hi,

The Black River Freight set from the early 70s was a popular low priced set. So they are relatively easy to come by. For a set in like new condition with a nice set box you might get a little over $100. Condition is very important and any wear or damage can bring the price down quickly.

I’m trying to find out how much my sons trains are worth. One is a steam engine still in it’s box it is a iron engine with the #1615 on the bottom it has a silver tag that reads Made in the u.s.of america LIONEL(027) the liionel corporation,n.y. can you help me?

Trains.com also has a forum “Classic Toy Trains” where collectors hang out. Seems to me this would be the better place for such queries.
