Get a free account at railimages.com or photobucket, or a similar webhost.
-
When cleared, upload your images to your gallery.
-
Get the “img” tagged URL for the full-sized images you wish to display here and copy and paste into one of the text boxes here when you go to post.
That’s it.

A recurring question on this forum. It has been answered in the past, in good detail. Put “post” or “photo” or both into the search box and you will see many excellent posts on the subject.
The basic idea is that this website (cs.train.com) does not upload photos. You have to upload your photo to some other website like photobucket and place a link (long string of characters that spells out the internet address of your photo) into your post.
We ought to have a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section.
An excellent idea!

PS: Perhaps another FAQ could be how to deal with the “all one paragraph” problem.
The next issue is convincing people to read FAQ pages. Very few do read them. Most just jump in and post a question.
Good example, posting electrical/DCC questions in the General forum category.

True, but when they do, someone can reply with a pointer to the FAQ.
Trouble truly is, it takes time to create a good FAQ. Finding the definitive posts on various subjects like posting photos, applying decals, advantages of flex track vs snap track, DC vs DCC, track cleaning, metal vs plastic wheels, and some of the other perennial chestnuts takes time and energy. To say nothing of resolving some serious conflicts of opinion on the controversial subjects. I don’t want to do it, and I’ll bet the MR people don’t either. Any volunteers out there?
