Huge Midwest Blizzard.

Have you ever lived in the Midwest? The upper Midwest can be very Unforgiveng at times. The people from North dakota to Texas go through this every year. Winters can be hell for everyone. I just hope that there are no Deaths from this storm. Be safe!

Five deaths due to slippery roads in Minnesota, South Dakota, Nebraska, and Kansas.

[:(].

we got alot of rain thank goodness but no snow. the temprature has dropped and will have highs in the 30s the rest of the week.
stay safe
joe

This must be the same blizzard that is heading our way in Wisconsin. I have heard it’s a nasty one, I hope everyone stays safe, and hopefully it won’t bring too much cold, wind, and tragety with it(although I don’t mind the snow, that can come…)

Noah

It’s 61 degrees in NYC. Was just out in shirtsleeves doing errands. The weather service says that the storm should turn to rain before it hits NYC.

In case you get stuck in the snow, however:

Morale of the Story: Don’t let just anyone hook on to you! There is a modicum of skill involved!

As Nelson from the Simpsons would say# Ha Ha

I guess the “witch of November” is upon us?

Well, hold on to your hats, Here comes another, and people here still havent learned how to drive in it. The only difference between this and the last one it that this one isnt being blown away by the wind! [:P]

I think this winter is going to be a lot rougher in the midwest than it has been for some time.

Also gotta watch out for all those SUV drivers that don’t know how to drive an SUV in the snow.

I hope we do get some huge storms this winter because the last few winters have had nothing much, and I’d like to get some good snow shots.

Well, since we are located near a place called the Icebox of the north… I have already broken out the polar carhartt and am ready for the REST of the storm!!

I spent 25 hours in the motel at Fremont waiting for a train. Went on duty last night. When the train arrived around 2am, the original crew, along with the relief crew was getting off. The original crew went on duty 9am the day before at North Platte. Since vans couldn’t run, they deadheaded relief crews on trains and then the dead crews had to ride the trains on in. Someone said one crew was 24 hours on a train. Rumor was one place, didn’t sound like on the east/west main, a crew was told it was an emergency situation and to violate the hours of service because there wasn’t any way to get to them if they stopped.
Saw a number of westbounds tied down around Fremont and Omaha riding the storm out.

And yet Lincoln, about 50 miles to the south - only got a dusting! Fickle weather - thank goodness…

We had enough snow and ice last Christmas Eve: don’t want that again
this year!! Like Mookie, I’d settle for just a dusting of snow.

Another non news story. It snows in the winter. Next summer it will be hurricanes and tornados. Women and children affected the most and everyone a victim.

All we got is a dusting. Places out west and up north got well over 20inches. I heard that some places up in south east South Dakota still have no power. There is forcast of more Light Snow today. As for the Hurricanes thank God it is almost over. As for the Tornados, that’s another thing. Allan.
