Looks good. I also am just hooking four of them up this week. Three need to be remote with a disconnect. so I am still inventing some of it. I hope you like them as much as I do.
I’m intrigued by those machines. Could you give me some information on how they work, i.e. do they hook up to a switch motor or are they manual turn-out controls?
Chip, call me naive, but I was fooled by the Caboose Industries ground throws. I have a box of them unopened and will likely never use them. Disappointed, but looking back, what did I want for $4 each, or whatever they were?
Along the same lines, I expected those to be metal, but your comment says otherwise…bummer.
I’ll package up some loose ones and add them to the unopened box and have them on their way to you in a jiff if you are in agreement. I have your address.
just curious… is there any way to mount them with a bit more of the mechanism showing , they seem a bit buried in the benchwork , and if i get some i relly want to show them off a bit more
20 turtle switch machines $15 $300. Plus MOM switches, wiring and power supply…
I think they look cool and do the same job. Each lever can control 2 turnouts so I have 8 crossovers turnouts and 6 single turnouts controlled by 10 switches. If needed, I can use the levers for powering the frog as well. That brings them down to $5 per turnout. Unless you go ground throws for $4 a piece you’re not getting any cheaper.
