I guess we'll HAVE TO get along now?

Well, seems somebody (guess who?) has deleted the “Can’t we all just get along” thread from the forum so now we will all just have to live with one another I guess.

Its too bad because most of those involved have made some good contributions here in the past and i would hate to =see them leave.

Jim,

No offense, but there was a reason certain threads were deleted. Wouldn’t it be better to just let them drift off to wherever dead threads go? Posting this thread seems like an opportunity for everything to get started again. Just my [2c]

Yesterday, I recieved an e-mail stating my posts in the “Re: Dirty Kilowatts.org” thread had been deleted. I was taken aback. What did I do wrong? My wife wasn’t involved. [:-^] When I wanted to find out more (an explanation), the contact link at the bottom of the e-mail was 404.

Ditto

I have to agree.

Let’s end this thread, because all it is going to do is start the same old stuff all over again. And, this board has seen enough of it…

[#oops] OK, consider it CLOSED!

everybody hold hands in a circle and sing!!!

[tup] That made my day! Thanks[(-D]

[bow] How appropriate, thanks!

Good Grief! It has to be the Summer Heat–You know"…mad dogs and Englishmen…"

Its got otherwise sane people snapping at each other like pit bulls.

What is need here is a moment of serenity, a peaceful song, and possibly a group hug!

So boys and girls sing along:

im a member on several other forums, ufos gardening clasic autos antiques and never hav seen name calling and disrespect as on here. fortunately it usually the same mentally ill morons think they know it all and the world revolves around them.egomanias full of puffed up pride.

Way too many people take forums way too seriously. They Internet Forums…$1 and the ‘Internet Forum Championship’ can get you a cup of coffee most places. Anyone that take what is said on a forum seriously has only themselves to blame for their upset nature.

With all due respect…

It is inevitable that occasional discussions on forums like this get heated. In the past, like others I have made some strong comments – but the moderators allowed them to stand, so they couldn’t have been all that bad.

But I think it is a shame that sooner or later someone steps over the line and instead of responding to the ongoing discussion, starts ridiculing screen names, peoples’ intellects, post counts, ages, occupations and demeaning a person’s character. I don’t like it when a person takes it upon themself to decide who belongs here while saying exactly the opposite. I don’t like it when groups of people gang up on others.

I also resent when someone trying to get the upper hand tells everyone I’m “a troll who has never made a single positive contribution to the forum … not one” and that they can see that for themselves if they do a search of my screen name. I think everyone here is intelligent enough to make their own decision on such things.

In the wake of the deleted threads, another involved member has had his say in another part of the forums. All I ask is that if the moderators decide to axe this response, in fairness they do likewise to that other post.

In the interest of closure,

Respectfully,

PZ

I am a member of other forums as well, and this stuff isn’t tolerated on them either. Exactly the reason I only read the posts and don’t reply. Way to childish for me.

Kind of makes me a little sad to see, but I’ve found it’s better to keep my mouth shut and not fall into the same category as the ones that are posting the nonsense.

At first I wasn’t going to comment on all this. But I’ve been busy for a couple days, and I was going to catch up tonight. Unfortunately, the “Can’t we all be civil to each other” thread is gone, so I’m coming down on the side of preferring not to delete threads.
