This guy needs to be force fed true railroading. The new power with the easy start up “button”, that is not true railroading. Railroading is units where your hands come out black after starting the unit, not being able to see with all the smoke, (but I suppose G.E’s do that…) and the “BOOMBOOM BOOM BOOM” of drivers pounding the rails. Does he know why all the 1990 power is hated by crews? Because generally they like to have straight backs, not permanatly hunched ones.
BTW, can I see your video?
in all seriousness lighten up. to each his own. what you may like he might not.
personally, when i go out to watch some trains i don’t take a picture of a *** thing. no camera no anything. i could never match the badass pictures some of you guys get anyway. especially that one dude who likes to race the santa fe…
I think he doesn’t care. SD50’s are rare. SD45-2’s are rare. Anything that UP bought and not have unpatched is extremely rare. Super C30-7 is!!!, Ferromex is common in Texas. Where did you see it?
Well, maybe I’m weird, but most of the time when I go our railfanning, I don’t take a camera. Do you HAVE to have a camera to be a legitimate railfanner?
I take a camera every time, but only cameras built 1994 and newer, because all the stuff before the magic almighty number 94 is just plain old junk, don’t you know.
Some people consider photography to be an art form. As art is in the eye of the beholder it is obvious his tastes are 180 degrees from your’s or even mine. While there is no accounting for taste my response to you as a friend would have been to ask you what time it is? [?] When you said HUH ??[?] I would tell you its time to buy your own camera and shot what you want. And maybe reavaluate our friendship. As always ENJOY [2c]
Well Jim, you don’t need to take pictures to enjoy yourself. There are many times when I don’t even carry a camera. But If it makes you feel better, here is an old school lashup for ya:
