I.R. KNOTTY LUMBER CO. wip

This is an old Suydam kit I got on ebay. It is all metal construction. Now I need to do the scenery around it. Which raises a question. I was thinking of using WS water for the log pond. Has anybody used this stuff? How good is it? Anything I should know about it? Thanx in advance.

At thr risk of sounding dumb, what is WS Water?

WS=Woodland Scenics

You have to make sure to pour it in several thin layers, I don’t remember what the instructions recommend 1/8" maybe but even that is to thick. I say as thin as possible , 5 maybe 6 pours allow 2 days drying time between layers. Also it has to be the last thing you do. Any glue/water sprayed anywhere within a 3’ area will “wick” to the water go under it and cause bubbles.

Thanx Tigerstripe. Thats about what I figured. Much the same as pouring resin which I don’t want to use because of the smell.

Look for Suydam or Barton Flats Lumber Mill. I found mine under BFLM. There was another one just listed under lumber mill.
