Okay, it comes from the one where they were debunking the myth (from American Graffiti) that a cable thrown around a car’s axle will rip that axle loose when the slack is taken up. The car being used was an ex-LA county sherriff car (Crown Vic) that was rigged with a remote control apparatus … when Adam did something with the control that caused the Crown Vic to lose control and just stop short of death, he made that remark.
Ok, I’ll play along and I’ll reject your reality that the quote that is the topic of this thread is from the television show Mythbusters. The new reality is that the line, “I reject your reality, and substitute it with my own!” is from an episode of I Dream of Jeanie in 1967. The real reality of this is that this thread subject has nothing to do with forums of this site. If you want to reject reality and substitute with someelse’s truth in regards to a sugject matter that is relevant to this board, then ask Metra Michael Smith what color that signal really was last September.

That is the mantra of the integrated closed access model for some time now, isnt’ it? After all, every other transporation mode has gone OA to some degree, as well as most other recently privatized railroads outside NA. Only those of the “substitute reality” still cling to the integrated closed access transportation model.
In fact, “I reject you reality, and substitute it with my own” is a basic tenet of monopolists who manage to operate in otherwise free markets.
Since you’re ADMITTING that you are rejecting reality, as well as history:
Every other transportaion mode has NOT gone to open acces, they were developed that way from the beginning, just like railroads were developed with the model they use to this day.
And you obviously read a bit too much between the lines (another term for “I reject your reality and substitute my own”) on the thread stating the Brits are reexamining their move to open access since it isn’t working.
