There is only one problem with having your train room in the second bedroom of your house. Here’s the story short and sweet… My wifes friend decided she would come for a while and visit from Houston Texas. I offered my train room (the second bedroom as my wife still calls it) instead of the couch -to her so she wouldn’t have to stay in a hotel and could save money and have so privacy. My layout is on two walls of the room so I bought a futton and moved it in. She’s here visiting now and she is staying for a month (halfway through the visit). I miss my trains, I miss my layout. [:(][:(]I feel better already. [:)]
It may be rough, but in the end you did the right thing. You gotta keep the “women folk” happy! That is if she’s like mine and all train funds must be “approved”! [;)]
I throught I was the only one in that boat!![8]My wifes brother came home and I gave up my train room,DUMB,DUMB[#dots][#oops]He was only going to stay for a while,been here a year now,so I’am re-doing the master bed room for a 4’X10’ or 4’X12’ set up.

I’ve already informed my fiancee that when we buy our first house, at least half the basement is mine, and yb the time I die, I’ll have swallowed it all, along with the garage and second bedroom [:D] She said “MMM hmm, we’ll see.” I wonder who’s gonna win that one…[B)]
[#ditto] My wife and daughter are like [oX)]'s as soon as I started to work on the loft above my garage they stareted thinking what a nice room that would be for my daughter the rest is history. The good thing about this is when my rug rat goes to collage I will get a finished heated and air condition room for the layout.[:D]
I know the feeling! My brother’s girlfriend keeps coming over and needs the spare room (my train room - it’s not spare!). I’m rapidly becoming tired of finding bits of jewellery draped over my workbench (does it look like a dressing table, really, with the pliers, soldering iron, etc?) and being unable to get in there before about 1pm. I’ve tried pointedly moving stuff out but it doesn’t seem to register. Ah well, he’s off to university in September so I should be able to get back in there then, at least until Christmas holidays start…
