Idea for all you railfans who dont like the new "BNSF"

Yuk, the line under the BNSF plays havoc with the perspective in photos of the new units. A real mess I would say!

Hopefully they might change it, remember when CN came up with the North American continent in grey behind their logo on units? (I like the noodle itself unchanged) It looked like peeling paint and they did quickly stop applying it, but you still might see a few around.

As a BNSF employee, this caught me off gaurd and had no idea it was in the works. However, I find the issue no big deal at all. It is common in society for businesses to change their name or logo. After all, we are talking about a company which has been around for just under 10 yrs. The colors on the equipment, logos, slogans don’t mean jack to me–just make sure the paychecks arrive on time twice a month. This is what its all about.

Not impressed, another boring logo with no character. I think it looks like the sign at a Used Car lot!

Whoa, a radical change, indeed… I kinda liked the old green/white design - found it classy. The new one signals someting that’s hurried and off-target. The line makes you wonder what that has to do with a railroad… Not sure I like the orange color, either… to me it symbolizes a company that is in over its head… also, I think the orange color is off-base for a large portion of BN’s traditional area of operation, the North…

I agree with on that. As long as there is a steady flow of money coming in the house,Who realy cares!

I myself prefer the old logo over the new logo, I also miss the Burlington Northern logos as well as the Santa Fe logos.

Next thing you know they will have YOUR SPONSOR HERE on the trains. With the short coming of sponsors on the locos.

Do they have the new logos on any locomotives/rolling stock yet? or is it still all on paper?

I thought you were Joe Koh?

On a scale of 1-10 (1 being the worst), the old scheme was about a 3 for the Heritage I, and about a 1 for the Heritage II, the new one is about a -5. I didn’t think they could do anything worse, I gues I was wrong.

Sorry if I offened any BNSF fans who like it, it’s just my “messed up view on life”.

It doesn’t really matter to me. I probably won’t ever see a BNSF unit unless I travel out west. But I don’t like the lettering they used on the older scheme.
It looked like typwriter font.[:o)]
