I ran across a small metal toy train at an auction. It almost looks like those older metal cars(2"). The front and back wheels rotate off of a pin axle and the center wheels are cast in place. There is a small tender with it that has the number 221 on it. I was reading and searching online and this forum was suggested to try and find out what I have. Thank you for any feed back. I am debating whether to keep it or list it quite frankly-
sounds like a vitage Marx but pics would help a lot.
now to do pics you need a host site like www.photobucket.com and up load the pics there then you can transfer them here by using the codes under the pics I normally use the direct code and then insert it in what looks like a window up above you click on that and another window oens and you put the code in there and click insert thats it.

Hopefully that works and that advice was too cool- thank you- Bob.
You have some sort of cast iron train, which may or may not be old as some of the cast iron trains have been reproduced. I don’t know anything about the item you have.
Thank you Otis. There are NO discerning identifying marks. It is metal…but not one for tracks…more so a toy. I don’t think it would be defined as a tin one though. I have no idea as to age, I can;t find it anywhere.
