If I could post in the Humor Thread today, I would. [:(!]
But for some reason, I CAN’T. [:(!] [xx(] [:(!]
I have been trying since about 1 am. It won’t let me. I can click on the “Reply to Post” and when the screen changes I don’t get an area where I can type OR a cursor. [:(!] [:(] [:(!]
I have been able to post in order threads, just not the Humor Thread.
One other odd thing. The thread shows up but the post are all like a mile long. The screen will not “fit” in the monitor. Since the postings are a mile long you have to click the arrow or drag the bar all the way across the screen to read a post.
Needless to say, I am not a happy camper today.
Humor is just dying to get out. H . E . L . P [:(] [:(] [:(]
This happened one other time in history - for some reason the right hand ads just disappear and go off the monitor and down the table to the floor. Which isn’t all bad. But they take the post new reply button with them. It is a “Bergie Bad”, so he will have to “fix” it - or maybe not.
Since Jim T loves “slapping people around with signs” I will just have to send him up there and let him bat you with a CN sign. [}:)] [:p] [;)]
I know, it’s a conspiracy, yeah, that’s it, it’s a conspiracy. Kev, and L C are paying me back. [}:)] [;)]
I just pulled up the humor thread. It looked normal, UNTIL I hit the reply to topic button, then all H * * * broke loose. I still can’t post. Why can some people post, and not others?
The sledge O matic is getting ready to wallop this here computer thingie. [:0]
Well, good news and bad news. Good: It’s not a huge, major problem that’s taking the site down or preventing lots of people from logging on etc. The bad news is, it’s not a huge problem and, therefore, much harder to find.
Erik’s looking into it, but it’s kinda like finding a needle in a haystack. One thing he suggests, though, is that maybe people affected should try restarting their computers. As far as we can tell, it seems to be affecting just Dan and Jim. Is anyone else having problems with that thread? Or, maybe it’s just time to start a “Humor Thread II?”
Sorry I don’t have better news for y’all.
By the way, it’s 27 degrees here in Waukesha, and we’re looking at high 20s, low 30s the rest of the week. Not nearly as cold as Quebec, but not as balmy as Lincoln, either.
