so just out of curiosity would you like it if the company’s could come out with a compressor and air brakes and horns for G scale trains & O scale trains and started working on ways to downsize for the smaller scales?
Also i saw model size engines that run off of diesel fuel is there any way to put one of those into a model train engine cause that would be sweet to put a diesel engine in a O guage or G guage?
Those tire inflators that plug into the 12 volt outlet in automobiles have a pretty small motor and compressor. They should fit into G and maybe O scale models.

ill have to look around at the flea market experiment a lil but i think itd just be thrilling to make everyone do a double take to tell then u have a real air system on your train

As for this air brake idea: To me there is absolutely a thrill to “hearing” escaped air when braking. At stopsigns I “chase/shadow 18 wheelers” to hear all the noises. It was suggested the 12v compressors to inflate car tires might work. Remember: ask questions, 1. if a 12vdc generator were to be attached to your train set axles (that compressor needs 12vdc…it would be WORSE if the compressor were mechanically geared to the axle) had you considered how much drag on your train this would be?
2. To make it more prototypical there would necessarily be lots of weight added to rig the braking equipment.
