I have long recommended Imgur on the forum, but never tried it on my cellphone. I met a train guy and wanted to show him my pics of Howard Zane’s layout.
There were options to see my posts, but I never posted them. I saw no way to get to my albums. Am I missing something. Iphone 11 if that makes a difference.
This thread needs a pic to show off Howard’s weathering.
I wouldn’t take a smart 'phone if it were given to me, and I only, very reluctantly, accepted a cell 'phone for “emergencies”. I can make a 'phone call on it, and it will also accept calls…if I bother to turn it on.
I’m not a fan of appliances that are smarter than me.
I use Photo uploader Imgur- Free. (Google Store) To upload pictures to the site. My situation is different than yours. I take a photo and go to app than upload the picture. Not sure about transferring them from another.
The Imgur mobile site is very limiting. If I want to view my uploaded images or upload more while on my phone, I switch to their desktop version of the site to get the full experience. I use Chrome, so after going to the site I click the 3 vertical dots next to the address bar and select “Desktop site”.
For years, I was quite content with my flip phone. My sole use was to call home when I was leaving the golf course. Period. That was it. [8o|]
But after being “forced” by my kids to get a smart phone, I consented. OK, I didn’t consent. My wife simply bought an iPhone and set it up for me. [:S]
But, I confess. I like it. [:D]
I text the kids and grandkids. I receive medical alerts for appointments and test results. I take photos with the iPhone. I surf the Internet, etc., etc., etc. [8D]
It helps keeping me feel young, not old and crotchity like maxman, doc Wayne, and Frankie. [xx(]
But of course it does: this entire Forum is an old geezers club (and we geezers try to keep our spelling as we learned it, decades, if not centuries, ago. Your new English spelling does not meet geezer standards.)
Don’t worry, Jim, you will be able to join us soon, although many of us might, by then, have “moved on”.
All my phones have been hand-me-downs and my current one is an I-Phone8 if that means anything.
My wife buys me a plan every year for $100.00 and if you renew it just keeps accumulating. The most I have ever used in a year is $14.00 worth and the credit I now have is huge.
Back when I was on the ramp at the airport I would have two or three radios and two phones on me. When I retired I did not carry a phone for the longest time, but the wife and kids all ganged up on me and I relented. Of course, I only remember to take it with me about 50% of the time, and even then I forget to turn it on 50% of the time when I do have it. [(-D]
My mother-in-law use to freak out when we would be off the grid in the backcountry camping a hundred miles from the nearest cell tower. It makes me wonder what occupied her time before we were all chained to each other through technology.
My wife gets her cell service from AT&T. I hate them so I get mine from Verizon. So we can’t do the get an added line for $100 thing. Therefore, if I wanted a smart phone I’d have to get one of those $100/month plans instead of the $25/month emergency use plan I have now. For the difference I can get a couple Scaletrains or Rapido locos.
