Imgur: Trying to set up an account

[banghead] I would like to post pictures on the forum so I can share my railroad, but when I try to sign up with Imgur, which many of you use, it won’t accept my name. It says no name exists, so what name do you use when trying to set up an account, it doesn’t tell you how.

I have contacted Imgur but as of yet no response, they did let me forward my images but without an account you can’t post them. They need better explanations and instructions as to how to do things in my opinion.

Forget Imgur. Use imgbb, it is a lot easier and a lot more intuitive.

My imgur account is set up using my personal email address. I have had no problems. I never use my user name when I log in, just the email address.

I switched to Imgur after PB broke our live links. I’ve been happy with it so far; in fact I like it much better than PB.

I set up Imgur with my email address as my login as well. Works great for me.

I as well use an email for login.

I’ve always found my imgur account user-friendly with exception of one time when they changed the format of my desktop.

I use desktop posting from my phone. I’m proud to say I didn’t need my daughter’s help that time. I figured out the new format in about 20 minutes. Actually it became even more user-friendly after the format change, much faster now.

Imgur works very well as a photo host.
