In desperate need of help!!!

We have a Louis Marx and Co. Diesel Type Electric Train that my husbands father passed down to him. We don’t know the date but it has to be somewhere between 1945-1955. It is in it’s origan box and in working condition. The only info we have is:

(found on box)
CAT No. 1669
PAT No. 2019 196
No. 44564

2 Locomotives both gray w/ red and yellow accents
Both say Santa Fe in black w/ no.1095 in yellow
Both have 8 wheels
One has engine w/ working headlight

2 Passenger Cars both silver and both light up
Both say Santa Fe in red w/ no. 3152 in red
Both have 8 wheels

1 Caboose, silver, also lights up
Also says Santa Fe in red with No. 3197 in red
Has 8 wheels

The 2 Locomotives are plastic with tin under carriage
The rest are tin, some with plastic accents

If anyone has any info on the value of this train please let me know. We have searched and searched and can’t find anything!![:(]
If you need anymore info let me know and I’ll try to find out.

don,t know the answer to your question, but I have a suggestion. why not ask your question in the Classic Toy Trains forum.

Check on ebay, you 'll get a some what round and about that way.

You can also go around and check with you local Hobby Stores…

Go to a few though, not just one, it will give you a better idea.
