In Praise of Bachmann Service

I recently had occasion to return an HO 44T Diesel to Bachmann for service/replacement. It arrived at their facility on Monday and on the following Saturday (yesterday) the replacement was in my mail box. That is good service, remembering they are located in Philadelphia and I live in a small Montana town.

I’ve also had the opportunity of speaking and corresponding with their service department several times and have always been treated very well. Everyone I’ve contacted at Bachmann has always been very prompt in their replies to my questions and concerns.

If I’m quick to criticize then I must also offer praise when it is warranted. I have found the Bachmann Service Department to be very good and it is a pleasure working with them.

Oh, I’ve had their HO 3-truck Climax running for about three weeks now and it has performed flawlessly.

Good to hear Wayne.

About the climax, I’ve had mine since April, it runs flawless.

I have posted praise to Bachmann before and am glad to hear others do the same. There are many negative comments made about Bachmann products but I find them to be very good, very well detailed and as you already mentioned their customer service is excellent. I have dealt with them two times for locomotive issues and both were handled ‘beyond my expectations’.

All but one of my loco fleet is Bachmann DCC OnBoard locos, both steam and diesel.

Only one growls at slow speeds, and they all run great for me.

I don’t have a complaint.

Much has been negatively posted about Bachmann products, but within the last 6 years I have been buying, can’t prove it by my experience!

Bachmann has worked hard to overcome it’s “toy train junk” reputation, and I’d say it’s a fair bet tehy are doing so!

Same here, I e-mailed about some screws for their heavyweight passenger coupler pockets and they responed in less than 15 minutes with suggetions as to how to order the new screws.
