…I found the original tubular track for the O scale set, now that the loco is shelved pending repairs. Also in the old box**, Intorduction to Scale Model Railroading** by Lynn Wescott. Twentyfive cents! Glossary, an expandable 4x8 HO trackplan and a membership application for the NMRA($5.00 dues) Also, Ideal toy’s slot car tracks, two messed up cars for it, some Hot Wheels accesories(useless until I find the basic stuff) and an Aurora AFX racing transformer(Great item to supply power to my layout’s street and station lights). Junque? Probably mostly, but it’s my junque. Also, a LH brass snap track turnout without switch machine. There was still room in the box so the oddest item, a table top practice ping pong thingie. Legs and ball serving machine missing, but base, net and backstop in good shape. This yard sale item hunting is an excersize in mildew tolerance, reminiscing(I bet that’s spelled incorrectly) and bewilderment(what is that and whose was it?).
Following Don Z’s lead, as soon as I get it’s picture taken, my N scale tank car is free to a good, or even mediocre home. Bad home it already has with me being an HO guy.
Now can we get a dry weekend for this tag sale? Please? BTW-tag sale proceeds go to renewing my MR subscription, and Thomas trains for the boys. Maybe new tires for the minivan. Nah…trains are much more important.
