There is a Indiana Railroad SD90/43MAC for sale on ebay in HO scale. Did the Indiana Railroad have SD90/43MAC’s in real life?
The Indiana Railroad web site does not say exactly what they are running, but there is a photo of a very new diesel locomotive.
Yes they do. I forget who they got them from but it would be legit. I know they use them on coal/unit trains. Very possibly they are used on manifests as well.
PW
INRD still does. Links to old discussions.

I believe they are strictly used for coal drags.
That’s as far as I know them to be used for as well. That being said though, the 90MACs were aquired to replace 4 unit consists with 2 units, like much of the rest fo the country is doing, so it wouldn’t surprise me if one is handy and gets borrowed once in a blue moon.
I know of only 13, 9000-9012 and 9025, the Heritage/Commemorative engine. The engine on Ebay is going to be a custom, probably using the Highball decals. INRD contacted Kato about doing INRD 90s in HO, and was told “no”. Where that stands now, considering the N scale models announced, is up in the air though.
The engines are from CIT leasing, and are all former 100-class CEFX SD9043MACs; they had previously been leased to Canadian Pacific… When INRD purchased CP’s Latta Sub (the former Milwaukee Road route in Indiana) in 2006 or 2007 (can’t recall exactly when), originally a handful of former SOO Line SD60s were diverted to INRD to cover the operation when their lease to SOO expired… The SOO units are now leased to NS, still running with their original SOO numbers with CEFX reporting marks, having been replaced by the larger SD90s on the INRD… The fleet is up to 12 units, numbers 9001-9012 and 25th-anniversary unit 9025…
I’m ecstatic that this useless info I carry around in my oversized head occasionally comes in handy! [8-|] LOL…
Thanks for the info!
