I’m building an HO layout and will soon be putting in the yards, sidings, and terminals. I’ve read where some folks have used N scale roadbed as it is thinner that the usual HO.
What are the dimensions of Atlas N scale cork or any other readily available cork type?
Since no one has answered yet, I’ll take a stab at it.
I opted to use the foam Woodland Scenics road bed for my HO layout and bought sheet craft foam for the yard area as I thought it would be quieter than cork…
As I understand it here that a lot of guys use sheet cork for yards and it is about 1/8" thick I think, which is lower in heigth than the regular cork HO roadbed. It is available at places like Walmart in the school supply section for bulletin boards or at craft stores like AC Moore and Michaels.
