I’m just curious which classic wooden interurbans and streecars YOU would like to see as wooden kits . My example are the cars from the Chicago & Milwaukee electric , the predessesor to the North Shore line . The other one would be the Chicago Aurora & Elgin. Keep in mind the idea here is to make some money on the kits !!
One or another (or several variants) of the NYC 3rd Avenue Railway System streetcars. At least one example is currently available in resin but wood kits would be nicer and more fun to build.
Undoubtedly, Niles five-window cars: coaches, combines and ideally observation cars too. There are Suydam brass models of the Niles cars around, but they’re pricey.
Ah ,but your Sacramento Northern cars are also available from La Belle woodworking . At least a nice combine and a coach ! It would not be difficult to adapt one with an obsevation platform . ( cool pics !!! )
The prices for the Labelle cars are very reasonable , about $40.00 each , unpowered w/o trolley ploes etc …
For me a nice Montreal and Southern Counties Car as built by the Ottawa car Company in the early 1900’s, the full passenger and the Combine. Nice thing about these is real examples still exist at various museums to get the specs off of.
combine car # 107
passenger car #102
Another good thing would be a double or single truck open bench car,not too many modles around other than in the brass ranges.A nice 14 bencher would be grand.
Another one just dawned on me as well, though not speacifically a wooden bodied car a Peter Witt type and it’s trailer cars haven’t been done all that much either ( outside of brass that is )
