Installing a new motor in an IHC Pacific

Hey guys, any pointers on the best way (and motor) to put in an IHC pacific? It is a fairly old one, probably mid to late 90’s.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

It is HO scale btw

Jim Hornaday,

A suggestion; You could get in touch with, NWSL, (North West Short Line) and check to see what they have, they may have a kit,for what you need and install info…http://www.nwsl.com

Cheers,

Frank

Your question is not clear.

Are you trying to re-motor the IHC loco?

Are you looking for an exact replacement or a newer type motor?

Rich

I agree with the NWSL link. Also, I like to use adhesive putty to isolate vibration/noise when installing motors. I’ve remotored some steamers and so be sure and get one with a flywheel. When I remotor I also like to make sure both sides of the drivers are picking up power.
