Has anyone here installed the steerable AC4400 side frames available from Detail West onto a Kato AC4400? I am in the process of doing so, and could use some pointers or guidance on what the best way would be, since I am a little stumped.Here is what my dilemma is: The detail west frames have tubular pins while the Kato frames have a rectangular pin that fits into a slot and lock the frames into place.
I am not quite sure what the best way would be to convert the pins on the Detail west frames to match that of which is required to attach them to the Kato AC4400 truck.Any help is greatly appreciated![:D]
They’re supposed to be for Athearn trucks, and I’m doing 2 super d’d AC4400 Blue Boxes and the frames sit so high they touch the bottom of the chassis. Maybe someone can help us both.
Ya, I realized that after I got them, oh well, just a little challenge to get some steerable Kato CP AC4400’s.[:-^]
Hopefully someone has some tips for both of us.
