I found this pic on the internet and thought it was kinda neet. Farmrail serves the SW Okla. region. Do any of you know what other rail lines serve Okla. and North Texas? What kind of loco is this? Mike
Looks like maybe a GP9-M
or GP10, basically a modernised GP7 or 9
Looks like a geep (GP??)…
Tom
i think most of farmrails equipment is GP 7’s or GP 9’s. MR did an article on them back in the 90’s, complete with an HO scale trackplan.

Looking at this shot:

It’s a GP10 for sure.
Chris
Most definitely a GP10!
Its a GP10, rebuilt from a GP9 by IC at their Paducah, Ky shops. Look at the air filter (?) in front of the stacks. A standard GP9 wouldn’t have that.
Thanks all!! That pic of the GP10 taken in Snyder Okla. is just 10 miles north of here.
sooo…what are they doing to it?..since it’s in Texas it may be the mak’ins for a new monster truck / train?..LOL…chuck
Looks to me like it’s getting new trucks.
I live in Enid Oklahoma and Farmrail runs from here to Clinton Oklahoma and then South into Texas. They interchange here with BNSF and UP.
So that’s what hi-rail means!
Sorry, couldn’t resist. [:-^]
Here is a website for Farmrail if you are interested.
