This might be a nice time to start this as we see more and more interest on here from NYC Fans. This could be an on going group chat about the NYC and it’s predecessors and possibly the Penn Central too. Any questions from anyone could be answered by other fans and just simply a place that NYC Fans could shoot the bull about their favorite RR. Any comments or takers.[:)]
Sounds good to me, I’m sure I’ll have plenty of questions sometime.
I did find a website on Steam locos that talked about NYC having the most Mikados, Hudsons and 0-8-0 switchers of any railroad.
I find that forums like these are great for more generalized model RR issues and a general gabfest, but when I want to find out info on a specific railroad topic (like modelling the NYC) it’s best to go to where there’s a large number of NYC ‘foamers’. That’s why I’m a member of three Yahoo Groups that deal specifically with the NYC, and several others that deal with other specific roads of interest.
But I’m always up for talking NYC! (well, the P&E anyway…)
