Interesting Wick Moorman quote

“The story I tell, which obviously is probably not true, is that my mother apparently dropped me when I was very young. I landed on my head, and when she picked me up, the only difference was that my brain had been slightly addled and I loved trains. I was always interested in the railroad business and always kind of a railfan, if you will.”

I guess he got to the point that he could come out of the closet, as in closet railfan. Fortunately there are a few of them hiding in railroad management.

Mac

Only a railfan put into the top management position with a Class 1 would bring back the Southern tuxedo paint on a set of F-units…and revive the steam program that his predecessor killed 16 years earlier! And he’s the only RR president I’ve ever seen who graciously waves to railfans while passing them on his rear OCS theater car. There is 180 degrees of difference between Wick and the former NS president, and that’s definitely a good thing!

Haverty?

Speaking of reviving the steam program, has anybody heard anymore about that?
