What happened to Iron Highway?

nailbyong - Welcome to Trains.com! [C):-)]

First - [#welcome]

The “Iron Highway” - CSX’s and New York Air Brake’s name for it when it was first constructed and run was supposedly returned to CSX when CP bought its own version of that equipment. The basic concept is now (and only) CP “Expressway” service (sometimes spelled “Exxpressway” such as on the sides of the cars) - see: http://www.cpr.ca/en/ship-with-cp/what-you-can-ship/expressway/Pages/default.aspx and http://cs.trains.com/TRCCS/forums/p/56425/709189.aspx here. If you do a Google search for “CP” + “Expressway” + “trailer” or similar you’ll find a little more info at some other sites/ forums . . . [swg]

Decent info on it is hard to find. Even a couple videos that purport to show and explain it include very little on the actual loading and unloading process at the terminals - a real omission and disappointment for me, so be careful before you buy them.
