I remeber IHC being based in Philadelphia- they then had some business difficulties- is IHC-Texas a new entity that bought out the remains or did they just move the operation to Texas. Inquiring minds want to know!
IHC first lost their overseas source of product and closed their doors, then the former owner passed away and it appears that the new Texas-based outfit is currently just selling off IHC’s remaining old stock.

I miss the good ol days of IHC’s original namesake, AHM! Many fond memories of AHM packages for Christmas and my birthday to add to my train layout as a kid. I had several AHM/Rivarossi steam engines, very good models for thier day and way better than the tyco stuff I started with. I had many AHM cars, buildings and scenery assories. I still have 3 of the nice cobble stone looking grade crossings/rerailer tracks, while they have brass rails, I still use them as they look nice for a grade crossing. Mike
The IHC-Texas site seems to just be selling off the leftovers from the former IHC in Philadelphia.
IHC had alot of engines made by Mehano and Rivarossi. Both went out of the market for a short time. Rivarossi is now owned by Hornby in England. Mehano is back in business also. IHC has make some very nice steamers. I think we will see some new IHC from Mehano once things get better.

Rather unlikely, Bob. From my understanding of Mehano’s reorganization plans, if they can get fully up to steam they will be offering a totally new and improved, high-end, product line (read far more expensive) to U.S. hobbyists. This will be sold either directly, or through a new distributor.

I do wish someone would take over the IHC passenger car interior kits. I had plans for addring interoirs to more of my passenger cars, but it looks like some will have interoirs and the rest will be bare. [:'(]
The IHC cars and/or separate interiors are still pretty easy to find at flea markets or online. If that fails, Palace Car Company interiors work quite well.
Maye in your area, I have not seen any interiors at train shows in my area for over a year, and most flea markets do not have any model train items either.
By flea markets I meant just MODEL RAILROAD flea markets. [;)] IHC-Texas appears to still have some interiors in stock.
p.s. Which specific car types do you need interiors for?? Seems to me I bought some of them a while back but never used them…
Just do a search of “interior” on their site.
