Is a railroad bridge off topic?
Off topic for what?
Tell us what the topic concerning the bridge is.
Is the bridge over troubled waters?
Is there water under the bridge?
Did Billy Joe jump off of it?
Is a railroad bridge of Topeka close enough?
Maybe this is a post your favorite bridge thread?

Bridges are part of railroad infrastructure so, no, it’s not off topic.
He’s not my lover.
That’s Billie Jean.
What about an abandoned ‘railroad’ bridge with no tracks on it used by hikers, like such in downtown Redlands, Calif.?
Is it a bridge too far?
If it was ever a railroad bridge, then it’s a fair historical topic.
MidlandMike:
Yours was an excellent contribution to this thread! Thanks.
Easy! The Poughkeepsie Railroad Bridge, once the longest railroad bridge in the world, now currently the longest fixed span pedestrian bridge in the world!

For me it’s the oldest still-standing bridge across the Mississippi - the Eads Bridge! I even built a model of it out of LEGO, but it’s slightly inaccurate and the scale is off a bit- the double-track train deck was impossible to put below the road deck, so I ran it where the road is supposed to go.
It divides into three segments for transport… or it did, before it was heavily damaged three years back during transport from a train show. (I still need to fix it)
don’t know if a railroad bridge is off topic, they do serve a big role for railroading
Ed, do you have pictures of the various construction of the great wave of New York elevateds in the 1870s? I had them out of Sullivan’s essay, but they were on a portable drive buried in storage.
