Is anyone planning to make a Green goat in HO?

I just want one i don’t like diesel but the green goats are cool and there hybrids!

Since there’s only one and it’s experimental, I doubt very much if anyone will ever make a mass produced model of it.

Is that the MK unit? Kaslo shops makes one in resin I believe. Just do a search for Kaslo shops and they have a picture there.

You might get a bigger response in the General Discussion area.

only one?? google before you speak! [;)]

there are actually 63 “green goats” in service at the moment.

including the GG20B and GG10B models.

plus another 100 or so “Genset” switchers, that look very much like the greengoats.

and UP has an order for 80 more units under construction right now…making about 250 railpower units out running very soon…

thats a bit more than one!

there is an excellent page detailing these units here:

No one has announced the model of the Green Goats as of today, but they are in use and are being used or ordered by several roads, I would tend to believe a model will be available in the future.

There was a guy on eBay that was selling them. I don’t have link, but I’ll try to find it. They were custom built.

My cousin need a model of one of those. He want’s to make one for the 6 1/2 inch gauge.

Most diesels are hybrids. the diesel runs a generator powering the electric traction motors.

This isn’t precisely an answer to your question, but I thought I’d mention that Overland has announced production of the NRE 3GS21B lettered in demonstrator, BNSF, UP, and NS. Info is on their price list page.
