I am looking for someone to paint HO scale figures for me. Most are military figures and I would like to have them painted in appropriate colors. Does anyone know of someone who does this or where I can find someone.
TIA

That 's what children are for! You better get busy.[(-D]
I might be interested, I will PM my email to you.
Illyad,
These businesses paints figures for customers. Although their focus is often military, they tend to be flexible. Send them each an email:

Batman, wow! Your daughter is talented! Amazing how kids can take off like a rocket when introduced to creative, mind building activities. Looks like the mark of good parenting. [Y][8D]
OK, now “Batman”…is her name Barbara and she does she happen to have a costume similar to that of a certain unmentioned millionaire who has a butler named, Alfred? [^o)]
Nope her name is Samantha. Because of my surname I have been called Batman since a young age. She has suffered the same fate (same surname) and gets called Batgirl on a regular basis. I call her Batchick just to bug her.
Illyad there can be some wonderful artist at local High Schools. Kids are always looking for a little work. An old friend of my Dads had an incredible back drop for his layout painted by a High School student. He got a lot more than what she was paid for in the quality dept. as far as I could see. Something to consider.[:)]
What is the ISO for in the O.P.'s original question?
In Search Of, would be my non-texting type person guess.
Have fun,
Richard
TIA,
If,I may make a suggestion, pick up a copy,of Military Modeler,I havn’t had one in year’s,but I’m pretty sure, you will have, more luck in your endeavor… A lot of things, have to be considered, what country, what branch of service, etc…There are many colors involved in uniforms and the paint becomes, expensive… I’ve been doing it for years, your question is just too vague, many variables involved…
Just My Thought!!!
Cheers,
Frank
Wow, that is an acronym that is confusing, to say the least! ISO is also a well known acronym standing for the International Standards Organization.
Dare I say it? Yes, I dare, what would be wrong with not wasting my time and spelling the words: “In Search Of” out?
NP2626,
Come-on,It;s the 21st century,spell-out,cost more money,when you text,plus you can get in a accident…LOL…
Cheers,
Frank
LOL
Much ado about nothing but with the same number of keystrokes it could have been clearer.
Need Painter for HO Figures.
Rich
Hi Illyad
I know your looking for a professional painter that could get very expensive.
It is actually not that hard to paint them yourself…
A supply of 2/0 3/0 and a 10/0 and a 10/0 fine liner (if required) brushes in sable are the paint brushes you want you may need a small dry brush and the next size up by games workshop.
These last two could be a bit pricy the sable ones are just normal artists brushes.
An opti-visor the paint including suitable spray primer a book with the uniforms in colour some cling wrap to protect the books during the painting and a book on painting war-games miniatures and your in business.
Followed by practice and after a while you will master it.
I am not that good at it but I can do it well enough that the regiment and some ranks are more or less recognisable I.e. good enough for the war-games table.
So its not that hard to do a reasonable job of it with a little practice.
One of the tricks is to paint on a regimental basis jacket red hat black trousers grey boots black then facings green etc. doing all figures noting things like drummer reverse colours get all the basics done first.
Then move to the finer common details and last doing the differences that mark out Sgt’s then officers
Doing it that way it is quite possible to do a regiment of 20 to 25 figures in a week or so
Leave one of odd figures till later but some colours will be possible during the painting of others.
that can be taken advantage of.

Acronym list for those who need it: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_acronyms:_I
I looked ISO up on Google, all it talked about was the International Standards Organization.
I will rely on Zstripe in the future for all my acronym clarification needs, he is much older than I am and knows everything!
NP2626,
‘‘Thank You’’,

LOL
Frank may know everything but don’t believe a thing that he says. [(-D]
