It time for: Weekend Photo Fun.... 8/25 - 8/27

Here it is almost Saturday here in the Finger Lakes and none of you have gotten this started yet! You guys are falling down on the job…

I have finally gotten some trains running after working on the new room for the last several months and doing a lot of scenery in the old room. Feels good even if it is mostly to check the track. This passenger train was the first one through the staging area. Pulled by my largest loco, i figured the long cars and the big engine would find any problems… and it did. Only one turnout gave me any problem at all and that waqs easy to correct.

Since there are no major problem, I started on the upper level which will be an end of the line town someday:

I have been mass producing the Tortiose Assemblys for installing on the new part of the layout. I will need about 3 dozen of these before I am done.

Looks good Howmus,

here’s my addition for this week. I’ve been stripping a Gp30 to repaint.

dekruif

good stuff all!

Heres my addition,

A Genesis SD45-2 [:D]

I’m still wiping the drool away!

howmus, I know how you feel. Getting to some point where you can say that portion is done.

2 July 06 - waiting for the last turnouts to come in for the backend of the staging area.

22 Aug 06 - after over a month I can say that all of the track work on my lower staging level is done. Track work being defined as track secured, feeders connected, ground throws installed and operational, all soldering done - ya hoo!

This November will mark 1 year for me. Started here on 13 Nov 05.

That whole area now looks more like this. This past Wednesday, I celebrated by having the owner, Craig Berry, of our local LHS (Collectable Caboose) and Mr. Don Z over to have a mini operating session. We got some Tower 55’s working … did our first MU … ran all over the staging tracks and around the loop … it was fun.

This weekend, I hope to get started on the facia.

Nice work! Looks great.

just a couple of my sw-1200, ,.

OK, time for my first contribution to the Weekend Photo Fun thread…

Here’s a few pictures I snapped on my HO scale layout…

That one is my new Genesis SD45-2 in CSX paint.

This one is my Atlas Dash 8-40CW in CSX paint.

That’s it from my layout, great pics everyone!

This is my progress for the week;

I put a whith headlight in my F7A, and planted the grass field along some of the trackside.

I also did a little work on Fillmore Concrete.

Great work everyone. Mike
