The sun is shining, the birds are chirping, the trains are running, and the postman just brought my paycheck and the October Trains Magazine!

( I just wanted to be the first to get on here and start the first "nanner-nanner I got my Trains Magazine before you did post!-because I don’t get Monty Python anyway.)[^]

It’s a great day to be alive for sure! A little nervous though, I am about to go to a job interview!

Tommorow I have to start reading manuals, learning policys, etc. Then sometime next week, I will start working the graveyard shift unloading semi trucks at the local home supply warehouse.

BTW, saw a NB empty coal train and a NB manifest freight on the way home! Like you said Murphy Siding, “It’s a great day”!

Hey Chad, when do you think UP will send some Heritage units out my way? Probably when the new wears off… Is UP#4141 in revenue service yet? Plans to be repainted?

Didn’t see mine today - probably in tomorrow’s mail, which means I won’t see it until Tuesday… (Have to leave town before the PO opens in order to get to both work and the railroad.)

I doubt the little twerps who broke into our post office took it - they were looking for birthday cards, on the surmise that there would be cash in them. They got caught…

Drat! I usually get mine at least a week before Murphy. He must have gotten my copy by mistake.

Weeell, I didnt get a magazine, buut

We did win our football game 42-2 and I had two touchdowns and three catches.

Nice. Also saw a stalled BNSF coal train on the way back.

UP can’t send the SP or WP unit till after I see it.[;)] The others I don’t know. I think 4141 is in revenue service but is captive in Texas service for now.
