Man I think I started WW III or something. I posted $$$$$$ & $$$$$$again. It was only a comment. I am not looking for the BB or trainline for myself. I am the idiot who has to have 2 H8s at $350.00 a peice. Not satisfied with 1 or 2 P2K GP7s or 9s, I have to have 6. How about the T1 by BLI, or Berkshire by Heritage. I guess its all my fault because I will pay the prices and don’t want the BB anymore. Although I still have them and still run them on a regular basis.
So I ask for your forgiveness for opening a can of worms.
Don’t feel bad, I want them too. I like detail and I don’t really care if people don’t want to pay for it. I will and will continue to do so. I have 9 GP9’s, one with sound, lol.
I also like the P2K stuff, but I’ll go ahead and buy Athearns and get them all detailed and looking better than the P2Ks if I can’t afford the P2K. I like assembling the shell to the chassis with the P2Ks. I’ve now said P2K 4 times in two sentences. GAH!! I said P2K again!! OH NO!!! I KEEP SAYING P2K!!! WHAT!? AAAAAA!!!
Affordability is relative, if you want it and can afford it, go get it, if you cant either compromise or wait a while longer till you can.
Either that or turn to communism, then we could all afford the same stuff and there would be no problems [:D]

If this is a repeat sorry. I thought I replied to this earlier but don’t see it. I don’t have any good pics of H8 but will try to have some for weekend photo next week so look for them. Also the second pic is one of my favorites. I have an 8X10 of it on the wall in my study.
No fault at all. Each person has to decide for themselves what they want and what they want to spend. Does your wants and purchasing decisions make you an idiot? Of course not! Even if your decision doesn’t not match what I would do (unless your hobby decision means your kids don’t eat).
While I cannot justify BLI at this point in my life (I’m currently unemployed) and don’t know if I would go BLI even if I was employed, that doesn’t mean that I think that your decision is someone wrong. What irks me is the perspective view of determining what is a good choice for others. Briefly stated those are the folks that get stuff at a certain level. Those items that are a notch below are “I used to do this, but have graduated up.” Those that are two notches below are "junk - don’t waste your money. Those that are a step above are “what I aspire to get someday” or “I’m saving for.” Those that are two steps above are “for folks that have more money than brains.”
If a person likes it and has decided that this is what he/she can afford and it makes the person smile then it’s a good deal.
No forgiveness needed - those threads were a much-needed deviation from the recent “How many light bulbs do you have in your train room” type threads (a little sarcasm there - sorry a little bit).
And if you have to wait, what you finally get will probably be better.
“to each according to his need”[:)] . but the “State”, not you, determines your need [:(]. If the “State” decides you don’t need something [V] it can be very difficult to get and if you do get it [8D], it may be taken away from you[8]. You may also be punished for having it [xx(].

This shot kind of reminds me of some of the late steam era publicity shots except they were generally taken in urban settings. Keep 'em coming.
