Kalmbach website password reset issue

Is it just me, or is there a problem with the forgotten password functionality on https://firecrown.dragonforms.com/. I’ve been trying to read the new issue of Model Railroader and I can request a temporary password. However, half of the time the link takes me back to the screen to request a new password. The remaining times it takes me to the change password screen but regardless of what I enter I get: “Error: We are unable to locate you using the credentials you provided. Please correct your information and try again.”

Is anyone else experiencing these problems?

I quit subscribing to Model Railroader around 2017 and my model railroad life has been just fine ever since, I don’t miss it at all. And I am an old timer. Way back I subscribed to it from 1961 to 1966. The way the magazine was then, I do really miss it.

The one I will miss though is Classic Trains. It’s just a sign of the times and the passing of generations. Nothing can stop it or change it.

I had the same issue this past week.

I miss Classic Trains also.

I am not certain what this has to do with a password reset issue.

I too have gone through these password reset issues. I think mine is working now but I haven’t tried to login for awhile. Most companies outsource their web services and there is a definite disconnect between what the companies want and what the web services provide. It’s hard to believe that anyone actually tests the code that they create. I mean really test.

Can’t wrap my head around what’s going on with passwords and Firecrown. With the Firefox, when I attempt to log in I get an “Invalid Credentials” error, BUT I can log into the Forum pages. Using Chrome, I can log into the main website, BUT can’t log into the Forum pages?? Craig Fuller is a con man

Don’t blame him, blame the IT folks.
The Forums being independent of the main website is nothing new, at least. But it looks like you have a solution: Firefox for the Forums, Chrome for the main website!

Well, blame Firecrown for not lighting a fire under the WEB services people, wherever they are. Firecrown pays for the WEB site so is it too much to ask that it works properly?

The usual response to this sort of stuff is to go in and delete all the browser cookies. Don’t know if it’ll work for you, but give it a try if you haven’t already.

I’ve tried all the recommended practices to no avail.

If you are able to log into the the main site you should be able to link to the forums from there without having to log in again.
