I am new to the Kato kobo models? Can someone fill me and explain?
Does kato have a website for that? Because I can’t seem to find it.
Lorne
Sounds like it’s some sort of workshop where they add sound to Kato engines. Think they’re using the Digitrax decoders. You will find information at the bottom of the Kato page www.katousa.com

I need more information than that. i saw a website in the model railroader on the back page. Does anyone know the website?
Lorne
Yeah I see what you mean. I dug a little deeper into the Kato site and it jsut describes the Kobo ready assembled models, not the sound thin. Will have to look further.

This is another case where something is being advertised before it is on the market. Kato Kobo (workshop) are going to be sound-equipped Kato models with the SoundFX decoder from Digitrax. They are going to carry an MSRP of $210 to $235, depending on the model.
Information can be found on the inside back cover of the December 2005 issue of Model Railroader magazine or at http://www.katousa.com/kobo which doesn’t seem to be working yet.
