Are the new Kato N scale locos as good as the ones from say 6-7 years ago?
Some say their quality isn’t like it used to be, I say otherwise.
Lets hear about it.

They make quality products, incorporating todays technology. Anyone who does not want light boards can take the traditional way of making locomotives better by doing their own thing. Adding the missing weight isn’t a big deal, making a directional lighting system is a little tougher.

I was given a Kato diesel for Christmas 2 years ago, it pulls real well, low noise, and has very good slow speed control. Granted this is a sample size of “1” and will not stand up to statistical analysis, but after you get 32 people who have Kato locs giving you their results, you will have a good statistical sample.
