KATO SD38-2 handrail question

While i was putting the handrails on my new CNW SD38-2 i had a small section break. I also had trouble bonding the white and green plastic handrails together (thats how kato kits are built!) with my tentax(i think) plastic welder. Any tips Please?? i really want this model to look good becuz it runs so smoothly![:D]

I had to repair a break on one of handrails of my Kato SD90, and I just used CA (super glue). Worked like a charm. You just have to put a tiny, tiny drop and be very careful. As for connecting the white handrail ends to the rest of the handrails, the super glue should work fine for this too. Although on mine, I did not glue the white parts to the rest of the rail. I just took my tweezers, and pushed the end of the white piece into the other piece pretty good, and I have not had any problems with it comming out. Hope that helps.

On my Katos, the white plastic just slipped snugly into the crevices of the gray (green on BN units) plastic. No glue or welding required. Is the SD38 different?

Thanks kevnbety. I’m going to try super glue and im going to glue the hadrails together so the get pulled out or anything like that.

Kiel-Holtenau - I dont thinks its different then any other Kato units but this is my first kato.
