I am hoping to make my first ever railfan trip to Memphis TN. I have heard of KC Junction, but I don’t know how to get there. Could someone give me some directions or an address of a nearby business that my GPS would recognize?
Thanks in advance

This will get you started:

It can be difficult to get from one place to another on ‘public property’ when watching this area.

Thank you very much!
I will see if I can get you some ‘prime spot’ GPS coordinates - most of the places I know are difficult to give absolute directions to, like a couple of the best approaches to the ex-IC yard westbound (one of which involves driving straight through a Riviana rice plant and another going up what looks like a gravel driveway)
THe Map provided by Overmod, is a pretty good place to start, but not having been in Memphis for some years to watch trains; I would caution that one should pick their spot carefully. Particularly, having an extra set of alert eyes in some areas would be prudent.
Traffic across the River Bridges shoud provide some interest, There used to be some areas to the East end of the bridges that one could park, and observe, their used to be a pretty good place at the Unitarian Church’s parking lot. My very favorite place, used to be the Watchman’s Shanty on Georgia Ave., and the Railroad Ave, crossings. These days a sidearm migh be appropriate in those areas?
