genius!
GREAT!!!
All I have to say is awsome.
Great video and explanation of what we are viewing. I like reading the articles from Kent about his layout. Seeing the results in a video really was impactful.
Excellent!
Love the beaver !
Thank you for sharing your layout with us Kent!!! Splendid and well done!! I really like the design approach to your transition from cityscape to mountain scenery w/o eating up alot of space!!
good show nice layout
As always…you have a way of making every thing look so real. Very excellent presentation. I’d still like to see your articals on real signal operations.
Thanks for the kind remarks!
Mark – re: the backdrops, I used a couple of Faller no. 272-180512 background prints. You can see the steps I followed to install these prints in my Weekend Workshop segment featured in the Sept 2012 issue of CTT.

HI Kent, this is a wonderul layout. I’m about to start a new, 5x11 layout and, even though the space is sammler than yours, will incorpoate some of you Canadian Rokies diorama’s.
Can you direct me to your backdrop source for the soaring Canadian Rockies?
Thanks! Mark B./ N.CA
Just great to see the layout ken , I wish I had more room
Kent excellent layout your ideas are great. I also have a Canadian pacific layout which is going to be taken down tired of crawling to the back going to built it along the walls.
Hello Kent: Before I saw this layout I though I was done working on my layout! But after viewing this I think I better start over… Excellent layout you can only know the amount of work, only by doing one of these yourself. How long have you guys worked on this layout?
An exciting tour Kent , I picked up several idea’s along the route . It is a pleasure to see you working on your layout with your Son , I remember a home video some time back of your Dad enjoying his layout with the help of you and I believe your Sister in your younger Days and as it progressed . Keep up the great work on the lyout and the Magazines .
Regards , Oilburner Jim
Great looking layout Kent. Enjoyed seeing the portions that are still a work in progress…home work never ends! Very impressive detail and creative ideas. Started my first permanent layout, only at the open girder stage. You have inspired me to continue. Thanks!
Ken fantastic a real inspiration for my G scale basement layout thanks
Manny
Great job Kent, I can not wait to see more videos of your progress.
Nice work Ken. Inspiration for my 1 year new 12x5 layout here in N. CA. Really like your rugged Canadian Rockies walls and jagged cliffs. May borrow some of that for my mountain-lumber mill area.
