Kentucky Railroad Museum

My son and I got in our last day trip of the summer and we had a great “boys day out” by visiting the Kentucky Railway Museum, in New Haven, Kentucky. We had a great day, and here are some of the highlights of our visit. I posted this in my regular forum as well, but figured I’d share here too.

Was “152” out?

I knew they were running selected weekends.

Thanks,
Brian (KY)

Nice pics, ATSJer! [#welcome] to the Trains Magazine side of the forums!

AJSTer, Thanks for sharing those pictures, and as Brian (Ia) said, A Big Welcome to this side of the Forums!! [tup]

(Too bad #152 wasn’t out pulling the train)

No, unfortunately she was in the shed with the doors shut. We’re probably going to return around Christmas time when they have her out doing North Pole Express excursions.

Nice pictures. I will hopefully be paying this place a visit in a couple of months.

Thanks, get there early that way you can walk around the train yard, and get close-ups of the engines and other rolling stock. Once they start moving stuff around getting ready for the excursion you can’t go in the yard, and the only way to get close to the Berkshire is to go in the yard.

Nice pictures thanks for sharing!!! (welcome to the forums too)looks like your son and my son would have a great time.when we visited cincinnati we went to tower A and the greater cincinnati rail museum in covington KY.another place for me and matt to check out.

stay safe
